Jake Robinson's second-half strike put a dent in Chesterfield's play-off hopes as Aldershot fought back for a draw.
The visitors struck first when Jack Lester latched onto Peter Till's pass and calmly lifted the ball over the onrushing Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz.
Robinson then had a shot cleared off the line but he later struck his side's equaliser, stabbing the ball home from a Scott Davies corner.
Chesterfield almost snatched victory when Derek Niven's volley hit the post.
