Jimmy Ryan is Accrington's top scorer with 10 goals this season

Jimmy Ryan scored his 10th goal of the season as Accrington virtually secure their safety from the drop with victory at Darlington.

Ryan fired in a 25-yard free kick after Chris Turner had been fouled by Franz Burgmeier for the game's only goal.

Stanley's win would have been more resounding but for Quakers keeper Andy Oakes who saved well from Chris Turner.

Darlington's best chance fell to Rob Purdie who forced Stanley keeper Kenny Arthur to make two superb saves.
