Bury missed a string of good chances against in-form Morecambe and had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The Shakers took charge from the off with Elliott Bennett being denied by keeper Barry Roche after six minutes.

Roche continued to frustrate the away side in the second half, saving from Andy Bishop's close-range header and blocking Glynn Hurst's shot.

Morecambe's best effort came from Michael Twiss, whose free kick hit the foot of a post.
