Play-off hopefuls Shrewsbury returned to winning ways with a battling victory over Notts County.

The Magpies took the lead through a low Richard Butler shot but Moses Ashikodi equalised from close-range soon after.

Grant Holt gave the Shrews the lead from the spot after he was fouled by Delroy Facey and Graham Coughlan headed home Ben Davies' corner to make it 3-1.

Jonathan Forte ran clear to reply for County with five minutes left but the Shrews held on to clinch the points.
