Wycombe 2-0 Chester

Matt Phillips and Jon-Paul Pittman got the goals that earned Wycombe a deserved victory and made it 13 games without a win for free-falling Chester.

Wycombe keeper Jamie Young saved from Paul Linwood's header early on, before Phillips slotted in Pittman's pass.

Kevin Ellison then wasted a great chance to level things up before the break for Chester as his looped strike was expertly kept out by Young.

And Pittman made him pay late on to seal Wycombe's fourth win in 11 games.

Cash-strapped, up-for-sale Chester, who have not won since Boxing Day, are now just four points clear of danger - thanks to Bournemouth's home win against Aldershot.
