Dag & Red 0-1 Bournemouth

Mark Molesley hit a stunning late goal to give Bournemouth three vital points against Dagenham at Victoria Road.

The Daggers dominated large parts of the first half and after a Danny Foster effort was disallowed, Doug Loft's shot was superbly kept out by Shwan Jalal.

The Cherries improved after the break, but Jeff Goulding hit a post and missed an open goal from an acute angle.

However, Molesley cut in from the right and fired a fierce left-footed drive into the bottom corner for the winner.

The match also saw a landmark for Bournemouth striker Steve Fletcher, who made his record 500th league appearance for the Cherries.
