Goals from Karleigh Osborne and Charlie MacDonald saw Brentford ease to victory over Port Vale and extend their lead at the top of League Two to three points.

MacDonald saw his fifth-minute penalty saved by Vale goalkeeper Joe Anyon.

But Brentford's dominance eventually told when defender Osborne headed home at the near post from a corner.

Vale had just one shot on target and it was no surprise when MacDonald wrapped up the points with a clinical finish after a flowing four-man move.
