Bradford secured a vital win over fellow promotion chasers Wycombe to keep it tight at the top of League Two.
Wanderers' debutant Jon-Paul Pittman made a bright start and had a header cleared off the line and a strong penalty appeal waved away.
But Bradford's Peter Thorne set up Steve Jones who fired City ahead just two minutes before half time.
Wycombe forward Chris Zebroski was shown a straight red card late on for a high-challenge on Matt Clarke.
