Brett Pitman scored his fifth goal in as many games as Bournemouth edged past Accrington on Saturday to give their League Two survival hopes a boost.
With four minutes remaining, on-loan Jake Thomson crossed in to Pitman who buried a volley from six yards.
The visitors missed an earlier penalty when Peter Cavanagh was brought down in the box by Rhoys Wiggins, but Andy Procter blazed over.
Accrington's Kenny Arthur saved Steve Fletcher's header and a Pitman shot.
