Goals from Omar Daley and Michael Boulding helped Bradford leap above fellow League Two play-off hopefuls Gillingham with victory at Priestfield.
Simeon Jackson thought he had given the home side the lead but his strike after half an hour was ruled out for offside.
The Bantams responded well and after shooting into the side netting, Daley gave his side the lead on the stroke of half time with a scuffed finish.
The win was secured as Boulding converted after a long punt forward.
