A Charlie MacDonald hat-trick saw Brentford climb to within a point of League Two leaders Wycombe.
The striker raced on to a Jordan Rhodes through ball and shrugged off two tackles before slotting the ball home.
He doubled his side's advantage 10 minutes before the interval, driving home from a tight angle.
Macdonald completed his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time, converting from the penalty spot after Rhodes had been fouled in the box.
