Aldershot 2-4 Rochdale

Rochdale winger Joe Thompson hit a hat-trick in just 17 first half minutes to put his side back in the play-off zone.

The 19-year-old headed in Nicky Adams' corner for the opener before pouncing on Anthony Charles' mistake for 2-0.

He completed his treble by heading in an Adams cross and Ciaran Toner hit the fourth from 25 yards before half-time.

Marvin Morgan pulled one back from Kirk Hudson's cross before Dale's Nathan Stanton was sent off for fouling Morgan and Scott Davies converted the penalty.
