Rochdale got back on the automatic promotion track with a comfortable win over Notts County at Spotland.

The hosts snatched the lead on the stroke of half-time, with Will Buckley on hand to fire a shot wide of Josh Lillis and into the net.

Rochdale started the second half brightly with a shot on target by Ciaran Toner blocked by Stephen Hunt.

Chris Dagnall netted Rochdale's second from close range in 72 minutes while Adam Le Fondre added a late third.
