A goal deep in stoppage time extended Luton's unbeaten run to six games with a point at Chesterfield.
Luton had the best of the first half before Jamie Ward held off two defenders to give the Spireites the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Tom Craddock finished Paul McVeigh's chip to level for Luton before Scott Boden regained the lead for the hosts with eight minutes to go.
Ian Roper then headed in Jake Howells' corner six minutes into added time.
