Midfielder Joe Partington scored a goal on his first league start to help Bournemouth beat Bury.
Sammy Igoe opened the scoring for the hosts in the 39th minute, clipping home after a pass from striker Matt Tubbs.
They sealed the points when Partington drove in from the edge of the area, with Tubbs again providing the assist.
Bury's Andy Bishop fired a glorious chance wide from Dean Howell's cross and Alan Connell had a late shot saved for Bournemouth, who easily held on.
