Wycombe's Leon Johnson headed home an equaliser in the first minute of injury-time to deny Mike Newell a win in his first game in charge of Grimsby.

Newell had made the perfect start when Peter Bore forced Nick Hegarty's shot over the line after just 41 seconds.

Wycombe dominated after that but keeper Phil Barnes denied Chris Zebroski four times and John Mousinho once.

Wycombe's Tommy Doherty was shown a straight red card for a foul before Johnson earned the visitors a point.
