Dagenham's leading scorer Paul Benson inspired his side to an impressive 2-0 away victory at Rochdale.

The visitors carved out the better chances in a drab first half, Benson having a shot cleared off the line.

Dagenham took the lead on the half-hour mark when Benson nipped in to divert the ball home.

Danny Foster's free-kick was headed against the bar by Benson before the same man prodded Sam Saunders' cross into Matt Ritchie's path to nod home.
