Bournemouth earned their second successive victory and first home win of the season, defeating Darlington to move up to minus eight points.

Marvin Bartley opened the scoring for the Cherries smashing the ball home from close range, after keeper Simon Brown parried the ball into his path.

Liam Hatch equalised with a looping header before Cherries regained the lead through a Neil Austin own goal.

And Brett Pitman made the game safe, converting Josh McQuoid's low cross.
