An inspired double substitution by boss Paul Simpson preserved Shrewsbury's unbeaten start to the season as they fought back to draw at Notts County.
The hosts went ahead when Mike Edwards rose highest to meet Matt Hamshaw's free-kick but Shrewsbury equalised with a David Hibbert header.
Richard Butcher gave County the lead with a close-range shot on 75 minutes.
But Shrews earned a point when Chris Humphrey crossed for fellow substitute Michael Symes to score at the far post.
