The visitors put in an impressive performance and took the lead thanks to a curling free-kick from Sam Saunders.

Moments later Soloman Taiwo fired home to double his side's lead as he got on the end of a Scott Griffiths cross.

Morecambe substitute Diarmuid O'Carroll pulled a goal back as he headed home from close range from a Garry Hunter corner but it wasn't enough.
