Darlington cemented their place in the League Two play-offs as they came from behind to earn a draw which ended Chesterfield's top-seven hopes.
Chesterfield frustrated the Quakers until they took a 50th-minute lead when a long pass was flicked on for Jamie Ward to hammer past David Stockdale.
