Barnet's Adam Birchall scored the equaliser against his former club as the hosts threw away the chance of a vital win in their relegation battle.
Michael Boulding put Mansfield ahead when he rounded keeper Lee Harrison before Matty Hamshaw's lob made it 2-0.
Barnet threw on Birchall, Jason Puncheon and Anthony Thomas in the 68th minute and within two minutes Thomas had buried a low 20-yard shot.
Then Puncheon's free-kick hit a post and Birchall swept home the loose ball.
