Stand-in striker Eddie Johnson scored the only goal as Bradford earned a deserved win over Morecambe.

Johnson, playing instead of leading scorer Peter Thorne, tapped home from close-range after Barry Conlon's shot from Joe Colbeck's cross fell to him.

Omar Daley should have put Bradford ahead in the first half but he blazed over from inside the six-yard box.

Craig Stanley almost snatched a draw for Morecambe in stoppage-time when his 25-yard drive struck the post.
