A spectacular goal by Nicky Adams gave Bury their fifth win in seven games as they beat Shrewsbury.
Bury got the winner on 71 minutes when Elliot Bennett beat three men in a brilliant run and laid the ball off to Adams, who curled in from 25 yards.
Shrewsbury had their chances but Dave Hibbert missed twice, Graeme Lee fired wide and keeper Darran Randolph kept out a shot from Chris Humphrey.
Earlier, Andy Bishop had missed two one-on-one openings on goal.
