Jamie Ward's brace helped Chesterfield maintain their push for a play-off place with a victory at Dagenham.

Jamie Lowry set up Ward who volleyed home via a deflection to break the deadlock in the 37th minute.

The striker then doubled his and Chesterfield's tally just a minute after the break as his shot squirmed through goalkeeper Tony Roberts' grasp.

Steve Fletcher's header looped in to complete the scoring, while Dagenham's Chris Moore clipped the bar late on.
