Striker Paul Benson marked his return from injury with a vital goal as Dagenham came from behind to earn a point against Shrewsbury.
The Shrews had taken the lead in the 34th minute, Andrew Cooke firing past Tony Roberts from close range.
But Benson, out since Boxing Day, showed no lack of sharpness as he finished clinically just minutes after coming off the bench.
Shrewsbury could have won it late on, Dave Hibbert heading narrowly wide.
