A penalty from Stockport's leading marksman Liam Dickinson was enough to make it seven away wins in a row. The Hatters started more positively at Edgar Street but Hereford should have taken the lead when Theo Robinson and Ben Smith had clear chances to score. But the Hatters deservedly went in front in the 54th minute when Dickinson scored low from the spot after being fouled by John McCombe in the area. Stockport lived dangerously allowing Robinson to head close late on.
