Morecambe's Shwan Jalal was guilty of a terrible goalkeeping error that helped Dagenham to a third successive win. The Daggers took the lead when Peter Gain's tame 30-yard shot was fumbled by Jalal and then allowed to go through his legs.
The Essex side dominated the first half with Ben Strevens and Jon Nurse going close to extending their side's lead.
Dagenham added their second in injury time when Strevens rounded Jalal to tap in from close range.
