Ferguson's Peterborough side went fourth with a narrow victory |
A dramatic stoppage-time penalty save by Joe Lewis earned Peterborough a win at promotion rivals Chesterfield. The young keeper turned away Peter Leven's spot-kick after substitute Tom Williams had been red-carded for pulling down Jack Lester in the box.
A blunder by Chesterfield keeper Barry Roche gifted Aaron Mclean the opener and George Boyd volleyed the second.
Leven set up a stirring finale with a fine finish from a corner, but Lewis's save ensured the Posh held on.
