Bury striker Andy Bishop smashed a superb late winner as Bury won their first game under new boss Alan Knill. Peter Thorne had put the Bantams ahead with a header after 22 minutes but Bury drew level from the penalty spot after David Wetherall fouled Ben Futcher.
Bishop kept his composure to equalise for the Shakers, who had not won in the league since 17 November.
And Bishop struck the winner from 20 yards after the ball was rolled into his path from a free-kick.
