Promotion-chasing Peterborough scored two second-half goals to end Rochdale's four-game winning run. After a closely-contested first half, Posh took the lead in stunning fashion, George Boyd firing into the top corner from 25 yards.
They doubled their lead when Boyd played in Aaron Mclean, who coolly nicked the ball past Sam Russell.
Rochdale's best effort came when Adam Rundle crossed for Tom Kennedy at the back post, but shot wide.
