Chris Llewellyn's first-half goal was not enough for Wrexham |
Wrexham slipped deeper into the drop zone as Brentford found a goal touch. Neil Roberts nodded back Sam Aiston's long ball for Chris Llewellyn to head home the first-half opener for Wrexham.
Lee Thorpe missed a penalty for the Bees, but after the break Alan Connell headed in Ricky Shakes' cross, then Steve Evans turned into his own net.
Connell sealed the win in caretaker manager Andy Scott's first game in charge, hitting the post but being on hand to turn in the rebound.
Before this result Brentford had lost their last five games under Terry Butcher without scoring a goal.
