Glenn Murray scored the winner as 10-man Rochdale fought back for victory at Lancashire rivals Accrington. David Perkins was sent off after 20 minutes following a late lunge on Accrington's Jay Harris.
The hosts took the lead three minutes later through Ian Craney's 20-yard free-kick.
But Callum Higginbotham equalised after latching on to a long ball and Murray struck with 15 minutes remaining, heading home Adam Rundle's corner.
