Dagenham and Redbridge were denied a first win in seven games when teenager Nick Blackman scored his first senior goal to hand Macclesfield a point. After coming on as a late substitute, Blackman drilled home a shot from the edge of the box.
Dagenham almost responded with a winner when Chris Moore's close-range shot came back off the inside of the post.
The visitors took the lead after six minutes when Glen Southam scored from the penalty spot.
