Chesterfield crushed Wrexham to go second in the table and send their hosts back into the drop zone. The Spireites were 3-0 up after 15 minutes, Jack Lester getting the first of a close-range brace when keeper Anthony Williams botched a free kick.
Felix Bastians skinned Danny Williams down the left for Adam Rooney to tap in his cross, then Rooney turned provider, crossing for Lester to head home.
Peter Levens completed the rout with a 60th minute shot from Bastians' set-up.
