Steve Guinan struck twice as Hereford maintained their early promotion push with victory at Notts County. Hereford went ahead after 13 minutes when Ben Smith scored from Clint Easton's pass, and Guinan headed a simple second 13 minutes later.
Gary Silk pulled one back with a deflected shot after 64 minutes, but Guinan out-muscled Adam Cann to score coolly with 20 minutes left.
Hector Sam's confident finish gave County hope but Hereford held on.
