Rochdale substitute Rory Prendergast grabbed a dramatic late equaliser to earn his side a 1-1 draw at Darlington. Tommy Wright and Rob Purdie went close for the Quakers before Wright broke the deadlock when he headed home Julian Joachim's cross from eight yards out.
Dale had plenty of possession themselves and Prendergast levelled with two minutes left, controlling the ball before firing low into the corner.
Dale almost won it in injury time but Tony Kennedy's free-kick flew over.
