Goals from Keith Andrews, Danny Swailes and Aaron Wilbraham helped MK Dons make short work of Notts County. Andrews stole in to nod home at the near post from Dean Lewington's corner and Swailes repeated the trick from another Lewington delivery.
Lawrie Dudfield wasted the best chance for the Magpies when he headed Spencer Weir-Daley's chip wide from 10 yards.
And Dons substitute Wilbraham added a third goal when he headed in Lloyd Dyer's cross from close range late on.
