Brian Carey tasted defeat in his first match in charge of Wrexham as Swindon came from behind to claim victory. Wrexham went ahead when Simon Spender crossed for Marc Williams to rise above the Swindon defence to head home.
But the lead lasted only 60 seconds as Sofiane Zaaboub flashed home a fierce shot from 15 yards after nine minutes.
Swindon's Ricky Shakes twice hit the post from inswinging corners, before Christian Roberts scored from the spot after a handball by Ryan Valentine.
