Former Macclesfield striker Richard Barker ruined Paul Ince's debut game as Macc manager with two late goals. Barker headed home an Alan Sheehan cross in the 83rd minute and seven minutes later slotted in a penalty after David Morley's handball.
Colin Heath's superb shot had given Macc an early second-half lead, before Giles Coke's scrambled equaliser.
Macc skipper Morley thumped home an 80th minute volley to put his team 2-1 up only to then give away the penalty.
