Southend United are close to completing the signings of Mark Warren and Jamie Stuart on one-year deals. Warren was with Essex neighbours Colchester United last season, while Stuart, who is a left sided player, has spent the last two years with Bury.
Stuart, 26, previously played more than 50 games for Charlton.
Meanwhile Southend are still waiting to hear whether Mark Rawle, Stuart Thurgood and Steven Clark will sign new deals.
