Brentford secured victory over Leyton Orient to end their East London rivals' 15-match unbeaten run.
The home side took an early lead when Marcus Bean curled a left-footed effort past visiting goalkeeper Jamie Jones.
Gary Alexander doubled their advantage, smashing Myles Weston's cross into the roof of the net from close range.
Scott McGleish slotted in from five yards to put Orient back in the game but they were unable to equalise and set a club record of 16 games unbeaten.
Brentford manager Nicky Forster told BBC London 94.9: "I thought we applied ourselves very, very well in the first half and asked a lot of questions of them.
"We put an enormous amount of pressure of them and we got our rewards.
"To go in 2-0 up at half time, I thought was thoroughly deserved and it was a testimony to how well the boys played."
Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade told BBC London 94.9: "That's the one that will frustrate me and annoy me a little bit. I didn't think we got out the blocks very well.
"I'm really disappointed with the first goal. It was a runner from midfield and that doesn't happen to us very often.
"It was a disappointing goal from our point of view and of course they doubled their lead. I thought we were the better side in the first half."
