Alex Nicholls' late goal earned League One bottom side Walsall a draw and extended Notts County's winless run to five games.
Notts' Lee Hughes fired wide in the first half, before Walsall's Craig Westcarr forced Jimmy Walker to save.
Hughes made amends after the break, heading in David Martin's corner to give the hosts the lead.
But Nicholls had the last word, taking Matthew Richards' ball and finishing well to give the Saddlers a point.
Notts County manager Paul Ince told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We had a tough game on Sunday against Manchester City and we were dead on our feet. You could see that.
"Once you get the 1-0, you just have to hold on but we made three mistakes and it cost us the goal.
"The last thing we want to do after a great result against Manchester City is chuck away points, but that's what we've done."
