Improving Yeovil Town extended their League One unbeaten run to four games by seeing off Brentford at Huish Park.
The Bees came closest to going ahead after a dull opening half hour but Marc Laird's effort was well saved by Glovers goalkeeper Stephen Henderson.
Two minutes later Yeovil went in front when Andy Welsh's free-kick was headed home by Paul Huntington.
And they sealed a second successive win when Andy Williams dived to head in Nathan Smith's left-wing cross.
Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset: "We've had nine weeks of being bottom without playing a game, there's been a lot of pent up frustration and anger at where we've been, and we're starting to get things right now.
"It's all coming together now, this break has been the best things that's happened in my career.
"We had a bit of a heart-to-heart meeting, things weren't going well and there were one or two people I felt weren't with us and there's been a marked improvement in attitude, commitment and desire."
Brentford Boss Andy Scott told BBC London 94.9: "They didn't fall for us, because we weren't anticipating and we weren't the first ones there, it's as simple as that.
"They were the first ones in both boxes and that's why we lost the game. As a team we didn't pass the ball well enough and didn't keep it well enough, we made some poor errors.
"Defensively our two centre-halves were poor on the day and they know that."
