McGovern has only missed one league game for Swindon this season
Jon-Paul McGovern's strike gave Swindon victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
In the only League One game to survive the big freeze, Swindon went ahead when McGovern's cross found Charlie Austin, who finished with a sweet volley.
Wednesday equalised when Clinton Morrison tapped into an empty net after Lewis Buxton went round and was brought down by home goalkeeper Phil Smith.
But Swindon got the winner when Michael Rose's long throw was flicked on by Sean Morrison and finished by McGovern.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I think everyone would agree that we were the better team for long periods of the game.
"We created chances, we hit the woodwork, had a goal disallowed and a penalty denied. A lot of things we can be unhappy about.
"You don't look for players to be sent off, you just look for rules to be applied consistently.
"This season I was looking forward to get things going and we started well then the matter of administration caused us problems and we came back from that. It's been a difficult job and I knew it would be, but hopefully we'll be able to get to where we want to go."
