Jonathan Tehoue was Orient's hero as he came off the bench to score a last minute winner against Hartlepool.
The introduction of Frenchman Tehoue and team-mate Paul-Jose Mpoku livened up an otherwise dull encounter.
Tottenham loanee Mpoku had an immediate impact as he forced the corner which eventually led to the goal.
Charlie Daniels delivered the ball and after Hartlepool failed to clear their lines, Tehoue pounced from close range to break Pool hearts and steal the win.
Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade tells BBC London 94.9: "It wasn't a classic game was it - but if you look at their record they have 4 clean sheets from 5 games."
"I made 2 substitutions and you want them to make an impact and that's exactly what they did.
"You have to give my back four a lot of credit - they never gave away many chances."
