Notts County and Peterborough United accept FA charges

Notts and Peterborough players and staff clash
Players and staff clashed in the League One game in September

Notts County and Peterborough United have pleaded guilty to conduct charges from the Football Association following last month's mass melee at London Road.

Both clubs were charged with failure to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour.

Peterborough have asked for a personal hearing in the hope of receiving a reduced punishment.

Posh fitness coach Ben Mackenzie has denied a charge for violent conduct.

Magpies kit man Mark Draper was also charged with violent conduct.

Notts won a feisty encounter 3-2 but trouble flared at the end of the game when players and coaching staff from both sides confronted each other.

In a statement Posh added: "Peterborough United would like to apologise to all supporters who may have been upset or affected by the melee following the final whistle.

"The club is taking strict internal measures to ensure that such measures are not repeated."
