Swindon returned to winning ways in League One with a home victory over West Country rivals Bristol Rovers.
Both sides struck the woodwork before Sean Morrison headed in Michael Rose's cross to give Town the lead at the end of an evenly matched first half.
Vincent Pericard doubled the home side's lead when Simon Ferry delivered for Vincent Pericard to head in.
Jeff Hughes scored a late consolation goal for Rovers from the spot after Chris Lines was fouled by David Lucas.
Swindon Town boss Danny Wilson told BBC Wiltshire: "Rovers were fired up for it and pressed us well, but just when they thought everything was OK we scored at half time.
"We didn't concede at key times and last year we did, which cost us the game, and maybe Paul Trollope will turn round and say they did.
"In the second half we really got on the ball and I think they did well to hold us to what we had."
Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "We feel hard done by and I'm quite proud of the players who played to a very high level in the first half.
"We weren't quite good enough in their box to get the goal and unfortunately just before half-time we weren't quite good enough in ours to keep them out.
"Maybe there was a little hangover from that at the start of the second half and Swindon pushed us back and we were a little bit open."
