Ten-man Bristol Rovers were indebted to Mikkel Andersen after the goalkeeper's fine display helped secure a point against Brentford.
The on-loan stopper made four excellent saves, including an acrobatic effort from a 20-yard Myles Weston strike.
Pirates defender Gary Sawyer was sent off with twenty minutes remaining for two bookable offences.
Both sides missed late chances to win the match, with Weston and Rovers' Wayne Brown firing over the crossbar.
Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "We were dominant in the first half, played some good football which is probably as well as we've played at home.
"We didn't create the chance to get us a goal, and when you're on top like that you need to get a goal.
"Unfortunately we didn't get the breakthrough and in the second half we never got to grips with our passing and movement."
Brentford boss Andy Scott told BBC London 94.9:
"We probably spent 85% of the time in their half creating some very good opportunities.
"Although we're disappointed with the first half showing, the second half certainly showed that we are capable."
