Weakened Oldham Athletic had to come from behind to draw at home to Bristol Rovers and maintain their unbeaten start to the League One campaign.
Will Hoskins put Rovers ahead with an early lob from the edge of the box.
But Latics equalised when midfielder Chris Taylor fired home a 20-yard free-kick for his first goal of the season.
Oumare Tounkare wasted two great headed chances for Latics - and 10-man Rovers had to hang on when Danny Coles was sent off late on for a double booking.
Coles, booked in the first half for a foul on Kieran Lee, got his marching orders for hauling down Dean Kelly.
Oldham were without injured skipper Rueben Hazell and strikers Warren Feeney and Kirk Millar, who were both away on international duty.
That forced player-manager Paul Dickov to name himself in the squad for the first time - and he made his first appearance when he replaced Kelly for the last 10 minutes.
Oldham manager Paul Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester: "Every time the ball went out of play, it was taking them minutes to get it back into play.
"I'm not making excuses, I never make excuses. I thought we were sloppy in the first twenty minutes with our defending but once we sorted that out going forward today I thought we were excellent.
"It's probably one of the best games we've played today, we kept the ball moving, we had a tempo about us we created chances."
Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "It was an up and down game where both sides had spells in it and to show the spirit we did with 10 men we're ok going home with a point.
"We've not had the start that we wanted, we feel we've brought in some good players and we've taken a couple of heavy defeats so confidence isn't sky high.
"But what we want to do is see improvements and a step forward, and we feel we've done that."
